The term 'Apocrypha' refers to a set of writings initially included in the original 1611 King James Bible. Positioned between the Old and New Testaments alongside maps and genealogies, these apocryphal books remained part of the KJV for 274 years until their exclusion in 1885 A.D. Certain groups, like the Catholic church, classify some of these texts as deuterocanonical books.
